STRONG STORM NEAR PERDUE HILL SHORTLY… The severe thunderstorm in Clarke County is about to cross into the western parts of Monroe County near Perdue Hill shortly. Very heavy rain and gusty winds are happening near Gosport as this storm moved eastward. The storm is likely falling below severe limits, but it is still strong.
WHAT TO EXPECT – NEXT HOUR… Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue to move eastward across parts of west Alabama. The overall severe weather risk remains very low. There could be some embedded thunder and lightning at times through 8AM, but overall storms are slowly weakening.
