ANOTHER HARD FREEZE TONIGHT; SUNNY, COLD TUESDAY… Overnight lows in many locales were in the mid- to upper-20 this morning. We have another very cold night ahead! Chilly temperatures will be the big weather story on this Tuesday. Sunshine is expected throughout the day, yet high temperatures won’t make it to the 50 degree mark in many locations. Most spots will reach the upper-40s by 2PM. Temperatures will begin to moderate slightly on Wednesday when high temperatures will reach the mid-50s. Rain returns Thursday evening into Friday ahead of a drier, sunny, seasonal weekend. That’s the forecast summary. More details are below.

OVERNIGHT LOWS IN MID-20s TONIGHT… We will have another hard freeze tonight into Wednesday morning. Overnight lows will be in the 23-28° range across south Alabama and northwest Florida. The good news is we are not expecting much, if any, wind. This means that the wind chill won’t be as big of a factor compared to previous nights. Tonight will be the last night in the 20s for awhile as temperatures will be in the mid-30s tomorrow night.

CLOUDS INCREASE WEDNESDAY… Cloud coverage will begin to increase on Wednesday ahead of increasing rain chances on Thursday. High temperatures on Wednesday will be in the mid-50s.

RAIN LIKELY THURSDAY EVENING INTO FRIDAY… Let me be very clear in saying there are no signs of snow of mixed precipitation in our forecast! Rain, however, is likely Thursday evening into Friday. There could be a few general thunderstorms involved, but severe weather is NOT expected at this time. Thursday night looks to be the time when rain chances will be at their peak. 9PM Thursday to 9AM Friday looks to be the 12 hour window when rain will be most likely. Temperatures will be in the 50s and 60s in this 12 hour window, thus no snow or mixed precip will be possible.

SUNNY, SEASONAL WEEKEND AHEAD… Rain clears out by Friday afternoon, giving way to a nice, seasonal weekend. High temperatures will be in the low-60s on Saturday and on Sunday with overnight lows in the mid-30s. This should be a great weekend for all of our local deer hunters.
