PARTLY CLOUDY TODAY; MORE RAIN ON FRIDAY… Rain yesterday, dry today, rain tomorrow! While partly cloudy skies are likely on this Thursday, we are looking ahead to Friday when more showers are likely across our region. Isolated showers may happen over west Alabama as early as this evening (likely after sunset), but the bulk of the rain on Friday will happen between 6AM and 6PM. The good news is severe weather parameters remain LOW with this system. Even better news is the weekend looks fantastic! Plenty of sunshine is likely on both Saturday and on Sunday with high temperatures increasing to the upper-60s by Sunday. Next week looks unsettled with multiple chances of rain. Let’s look at your forecast details.

CLOUDS INCREASE LATER TODAY… Cloud coverage is set to increase yet again this afternoon into the evening hours. High temperatures on this Thursday will peak in the 63-66 degree range. The entirety of south Alabama and northwest Florida will likely remain dry through 5-6PM. A few showers may happen west of the Alabama River in parts of Clarke, Washington, and Choctaw counties after sunset, but most of the rain will hold off until after midnight.

RAIN LIKELY AT TIMES OVERNIGHT INTO FRIDAY… Scattered to numerous areas of rain are likely overnight into the daytime hours of Friday. Keep the rain gear close by throughout the day on Friday. There may be a rumble of thunder or two near the immediate beach zones on Friday, but no severe weather is expected as a cool, stable air mass remains in place across our region. Temperatures on Friday will struggle to get to the mid-50s, (most spots will top out in the 52-54° range) meaning a cold, wet, pretty miserable day is ahead.

GORGEOUS, SEASONAL WEEKEND… The consolation prize of sorts happens this weekend as Saturday and Sunday are expected to be mostly sunny and a bit more mild. High temperatures on Saturday will be around 60° but we rise into the upper-60s on Sunday. Overnight lows will be in the low-40s.

MORE RAIN EARLY NEXT WEEK… More rain is likely as we get into next week. There could be more thunderstorms involved as well as it appears our area will be involved in more of an unstable air mass by Tuesday.
