We return to more seasonal temperatures by the latter half of the upcoming weekend, but not before an unsettled, warm pattern continues for the rest of this week! ⛈ pic.twitter.com/pA5Zd5hS0S

SCATTERED SHOWERS & STORMS TODAY; WARM TEMPS CONTINUE… Warm, muggy conditions will continue on this Tuesday with a chance of showers and thunderstorms throughout the day into tonight. Widespread severe weather is not expected locally today, but we note the Storm Prediction Center has introduced a Level 1 (out of 5) low-end, marginal severe weather risk zone for communities to our north across central and north Alabama. The concern is due to storms producing large hail and gusty winds. The overall tornado risk across the state remains very low.
DENSE FOG ADVISORY… Many areas are shrouded in fog this morning across the region. If you’re traveling this morning, take it easy on the road as visibility is reduced quite a bit due to all of the fog around. The National Weather Service in Mobile continues a Dense Fog Advisory until 9AM. Another fog advisory will likely need to be issued valid for tonight into tomorrow morning as fog is expected to redevelop.
CONSISTENT PATTERN THROUGH SATURDAY… Our weather pattern will be quite consistent through Saturday with high temperatures in the 70s each day (some spots may hit 80° on Wednesday!) with morning lows in the 60s. There will be at least some chance of showers each day. There could be some storms around, especially today and on Wednesday, but widespread severe weather is NOT expected.
APP… If you haven’t already, be sure to download the free RedZone Weather app to keep up with all the latest information on the world of weather in south Alabama and northwest Florida. redzoneweather.com/app is the link for the free download. Once you have the app downloaded to your iOS or Android device, be sure to visit the Alerts tab (lower right corner) and tap the large, yellow Alert Settings button to customize the alerts you would like to receive straight from me.
Have a nice Tuesday!
