The fact that it’s 5:20 in the evening and still somewhat daylight-ish outside is so encouraging. We’ve made it through the dark, long nights of winter! ?

GUSTY WINDS OVERNIGHT AHEAD OF A COLD FRONT… Wind gusts of 30-40 mph will become possible overnight into Sunday morning as a cold front arrives from the northwest. Rain chances will increase tonight into early Sunday morning as scattered showers become possible across the region. Severe storms continue to seem quite unlikely with this event, although we do note the local National Weather Service office has indicated there could be a conditional risk of a few stronger storms near the coast on Sunday, mainly between 10AM and 3PM. We’ll be watching model trends in the hours ahead to see if this becomes more of a potential. This will be a rain event for most spots with most locales picking up around a quarter to a half of an inch of rain.
I’ll have radar updates tonight and into Sunday in the RedZone Weather app. Have a nice Saturday evening!
