RAIN & STORMS AT TIMES TODAY; TASTE OF FALL ARRIVES IN A FEW DAYS… While today and Sunday will feature high rain chances, drier, cooler air is set to arrive Wednesday into Thursday as a cold front passes across our region. Overnight lows on Thursday morning are set to be in the mid-50s across much of south Alabama and northwest Florida. Highs will be near 80 with mostly sunny skies on Thursday into Friday. Many folks locally are looking forward to the taste of fall headed our way! Before we get there, excessive rainfall is likely today and tomorrow that could lead to flash flooding. A few more Saturday morning forecast notes are below.
STORMS LIKELY TODAY… Rain and thunderstorms will continue to be likely at times on this Saturday. Widespread severe weather is not expected and the tornado risk remains near zero today. Rain chances will continue to be slightly higher in areas closer to the immediate coast, although even farther inland, chances of rain remain high.
I will have radar updates posted throughout the day in the RedZone Weather app. I hope you have a great Saturday!
