The Tornado Watch has been cancelled for Okaloosa County, meaning all local counties have been cancelled. The overall risk of any more severe storms locally today is low. The risk drops to zero later tonight.

The overall tornado risk across southwest Alabama and northwest Florida in areas west of Destin, Niceville, Laurel Hill, and Opp is now very low.
A few storms have popped up near Thomasville and northern Clarke County that will gradually push eastward over the next few hours. pic.twitter.com/khBHKOFnQA

TORNADO WATCH – UPDATE… The Tornado Watch has been cancelled for several more local counties. Escambia (AL), Covington, Escambia (FL), and Santa Rosa counties have been cancelled out of the Tornado Watch.
Okaloosa County is the only local county involved at this point in the active Tornado Watch. Walton County and points southeast in the Florida Panhandle also remain involved.
Heavy rain and embedded thunderstorms continue to push eastward. Torrential downpours of rain ahead for Fort Walton Beach, Eglin AFB, Niceville, Destin, Santa Rosa Beach, Crestview, Baker, Laurel Hill, Andalusia, Florala, and Opp. pic.twitter.com/rhZ7g6pSIw

Heavy rain continues across much of the area at midday. Loud storms are moving into Navarre and will move into Fort Walton Beach and Destin in the next 30-45 minutes.
No tornado warnings so far today, thankfully. pic.twitter.com/GbIhiG4Ba2

20-30 miles separated Pensacola from 3-4 inches of rain and a foot of rain in the last 6 hours or so. Embedded have been several strong mesocyclones within that foot of rain so a moderate ero (still some flooding) and tornado watch was the difference of 30 miles or less it seems. pic.twitter.com/etj2PcvIsP

Heavy rain and flash flooding are quickly becoming the main issue across the region. A Flash Flood Warning (FFW) continues for parts of Baldwin County. A separate FFW is in effect for areas near Pensacola and Gulf Breeze.

FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR PENSACOLA & GULF BREEZE… A Flash Flood Warning is now in effect until 4:45PM for much of the Pensacola metro, including areas near Downtown, Scenic Highway, Cordova Mall, Baptist Hospital, I-110, and the campus of UWF. This Flash Flood Warning also includes Gulf Breeze, Pensacola Beach, Garcon Point, Avalon Beach, Oriole Beach, Tiger Point, the Gulf Breeze Zoo, NAS Pensacola, Fort Pickens, Warrington, Brent, Ferry Pass, and Gulf Islands National Seashore.
Very heavy rain is set to move into these areas yet again as a particularly intense band of rain and storms arrives from the west.
