FEW SHOWERS TODAY AS COLD FRONT MOVES BY; COLDER TEMPS TOMORROW… Scattered showers will be likely along a cold front that will advance across south Alabama and northwest Florida on this Wednesday. Sharply cooler temperatures are likely this evening with most spots dipping into the 50s quickly after sunset. Most communities will have overnight lows in the 40s by daybreak on Thursday.

NARROW BAND OF SHOWERS TO PUSH THROUGH TODAY… I will be closely monitoring radar trends throughout the day as a narrow band of showers along a cold front is expected to push across Alabama, Mississippi, and northwest Florida today. This band of showers may produce brief downpours of heavy rain in localized areas. Behind the narrow band of showers, much cooler air will filter into our region from the northwest. The good news is severe storms are NOT expected today in our local area. I am not expecting many, if any, thunderstorms across our local area today either.

COOLER, MOSTLY DRY THURSDAY… Cloud coverage will persist across the area on Thursday with high temperatures only set to be in the low-60s. While one or two rogue showers can’t completely be ruled out, I expect most communities to remain completely dry tomorrow. Keep the jackets handy throughout the day as the northwest wind will be quite chilly.

RAIN & STORMS LIKELY FRIDAY INTO SATURDAY… Multiple waves of rain and thunderstorms will be possible on Friday and into the weekend. For now, severe weather parameters continue to be low but thunderstorms will be possible at times. High temperatures will surge into the 70s again this weekend.
