All the hot water in the world won’t form tropical systems without one very important component: you need a seed!
Here’s a few types of tropical seedlings which can eventually form into tropical systems.
These seeds act to congregate, consolidate and sometimes add spin. https://t.co/1BQn9HIlft pic.twitter.com/dsmnWLABli— Jeff Berardelli (@WeatherProf) May 22, 2024

NICE HOLIDAY WEEKEND… The upcoming Memorial Day holiday weekend looks quite nice across the region with partly cloudy skies expected each day. High temperatures will be in the low-90s.
WARM, NICE WEDNESDAY; NICE WEATHER FOR MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND… You will probably notice the beautiful, puffy, white cumulus clouds in the sky this afternoon with a backdrop of plenty of sunshine. High temperatures will be in the upper-80s again today with some spots briefly flirting with the 90 degree mark. More dry, nice weather is upcoming on Thursday and Friday. High temperatures will be in the low-90s in the days ahead.
NICE MEMORIAL DAY HOLIDAY WEEKEND… Partly cloudy skies are expected on Saturday, Sunday, and into Memorial Day on Monday. High temperatures are expected to be in the low-90s each day with overnight lows near 70°. I can’t completely rule out a few showers in the evening hours of Monday, but most locales across the region will be dry.
RAIN AND STORMS ON TUESDAY… Our next considerable chance of rain and thunderstorms will happen on Tuesday as a frontal boundary approaches from the northwest. Scattered storms will be possible throughout the day. It is a bit too early to know if severe weather issues will be a real possibility, but that is something I will be monitoring in the next few days.
TROPICAL UPDATE… Tropical storm formation is not expected in the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea, or the Atlantic Ocean over the next 5-7 days. The 2024 Atlantic Hurricane Season kicks off in just a few weeks on Saturday, June 1.
