While our area certainly is accustomed to summer heat, the heat and humidity today and tomorrow will be brutal. Take it easy if outside!
KNOW THE SYMPTOMS OF HEAT STROKE… Be aware of the symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke today and tomorrow as heat index values will easily be in excess of 105° at times in the P.M. hours.
Showers and storms are moving into northern parts of Clarke, Monroe, and Washington counties this morning.

EXTREME HEAT TODAY AND TOMORROW… P.M. pop-up thunderstorms will be possible in each of the next 7 days.
High temperatures will be in the mid-90s today and tomorrow (heat index values in the 105-110° range!) with ever so slightly “cooler” temperatures later this week.
