STORMS POPPING UP… Just after 10AM, showers and thunderstorms are quickly beginning to develop across south Alabama and northwest Florida. These seemingly random pop-up showers and thunderstorms will be capable of producing localized downpours, loud thunder, cloud-to-ground lightning, and gusty winds.
Widespread severe storms are not expected today. “When thunder roars, go indoors!”
Tropical Storm Beryl now has maximum winds of 65 mph. The storm is explicitly forecast to be a major hurricane as it moves through the Lesser Antilles.
A Hurricane Watch is now up for Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, and Grenada. pic.twitter.com/88uAFENiH1
