SCATTERED STORMS LIKELY AT TIMES TODAY; FLASH FLOODING POSSIBLE… Multiple rounds of rain and thunderstorms are likely at times on this Saturday. Flash flooding has been and continues to be an issue in some spots across the region. We have a low-end, Level 1 (out of 5) severe weather risk due to the potential for damaging wind gusts in stronger storms today. The overall tornado risk remains low, but not entirely zero. FLASH FLOODING CONCERNS… While gusty winds and a brief tornado or two cannot be ruled out in the hours ahead, the biggest concern is the growing risk of flash flooding across northwest Florida. Heavy rain and thunderstorms are now in progress near Pensacola, Gulf Breeze, Pensacola Beach, Navarre, Milton, Pace, Cantonment, Gonzalez, Perdido Key, and surrounding areas.
