RAIN AROUND OVER NEXT FEW DAYS… Higher rain chances will come back into the forecast later this week and into the weekend. High temperatures will also be in the 80s!
INCREASED RAIN CHANCES COMING LATER THIS WEEK; EVER SO SLIGHTLY COOLER TOO… High temperatures will once again be in the mid-90s across south Alabama and northwest Florida today with heat index values in the 100-105° range being widespread. Isolated showers and thunderstorms will be possible today into this evening. Not every community will have rain today but some will. Rain chances rise as we get into the latter half of the week and into the weekend.
TROPICS QUIET… The Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea, and Atlantic Ocean remain quiet with no new tropical storms expected over the next 5-7 days. The climatological peak of hurricane season happens on September 11.
