SUNNY DAYS COMING UP… Plenty of sunshine is likely over the next several days, after today. High temperatures will be in the 80s with morning lows in the 60s over the next several days.
ONLY A FEW SHOWERS & STORMS TODAY; DRIER DAYS INTO THE WEEKEND… Rain chances remain low (20-30%) today but not zero. Most spots across south Alabama and northwest Florida will remain dry. High temperatures will be in the mid- to upper-80s today. Looking ahead, we have some nice mornings in the forecast as we get into the weekend. Overnight lows by Friday morning will be in the low-60s.
TROPICS GO QUIET, FOR NOW… Tropical Depression Gordon dissipated yesterday morning. The remnants of Gordon will continue to meander in the central Atlantic Ocean, well away from land areas. The Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean Sea remain quiet, for now. There are some early indications that a tropical disturbance may form in the northwestern Caribbean Sea in about a week, but it is far too early for any reliable guidance about where the system may ultimately end up. The 2024 Atlantic Hurricane Season will end on November 30.
