MAIN RISK LOCALLY: NOON SATURDAY TO 3AM SUNDAY… The Level 5 (out of 5) HIGH risk upgrade changes nothing about expected timing of the storms: We are expecting Round 1 (of 2) of strong to severe storms being possible overnight TONIGHT into early Saturday across parts of west Alabama (first/west time slot on the timing map here).
The main risk will be Noon Saturday to 3AM Sunday for the remainder of south Alabama and northwest Florida. This main risk will be when Round 2 (of 2) of the storms will be likely. Round 2 (of 2) is expected to be more significant with multiple, intense (EF3+) tornadoes being possible. PLEASE have multiple ways to hear warnings over the next 24-36 hours!
