LEVEL 2 RISK TO OUR NORTH… Important to note that the severe weather risk in place across the northern half of Alabama later today into tonight has NO formal tornado risk attached.
It’s been awhile since anywhere close by has had a Level 2 (out of 5) risk with no formal tornado risk.
Main concerns tonight for the northern part of Alabama: Wind gusts and hail in the stronger storms.
Not expecting any significant, severe storms across south Alabama or northwest Florida. Isolated showers and storms possible later this evening into tonight locally. Most will remain dry locally.
