ALL CLEAR; SEVERE WEATHER RISK ENDS… All Clear for south Alabama and northwest Florida for areas west of Destin, Crestview, and Opp. The severe weather risk has ended for today. Cooler, drier air arrives tonight. Thanks to everyone who used the RZW app all night and folks who watched our live coverage!

We were fortunate to only have one tornado warning during this event. If you blinked, you missed it! It was only in effect for about 5 minutes for parts of southern Santa Rosa County near Gulf Breeze.
The attached image shows the warning polygon. The polygon included Pensacola Beach, Gulf Breeze, Tiger Point, Oriole Beach, and Midway (FL).
Milton, Pace, Navarre, and nearly all of Pensacola were never included in the warning.
NWS cancelled the warning as the rotation in the storm quickly weakened, thankfully.

BENEFICIAL RAIN ACROSS THE REGION… I just checked our digital rain gauge here at the RedZone Weather studio in Brewton, Alabama. We picked up 1.88″ of total rainfall with this event. Rain amounts varied quite a bit with totals in excess of 3″ in parts of southern Baldwin County. Some communities in Covington County picked up less than one half inch in total.
