SCATTERED SEVERE STORMS POSSIBLE TODAY… The risk of scattered severe storms is highest today INLAND near places like Thomasville, Monroeville, Evergreen, and Greenville. Level 2 (out of 5) severe weather risk.
Lower-end, Level 1 (out of 5) risk closer to the coast today.

The next round of storms that are showing at least some potential for severe weather are in progress just southeast of Hattiesburg, approaching New Augusta and Beaumont in Mississippi.

Storms in west Alabama seem to be calming down somewhat, for now. We probably will have an uptick in activity overnight.
Showers are also developing near Monroeville, Excel, Frisco City, Huxford, and Dyas.
