3:40PM March 29, 2018

Heavy rain is falling at the Mobile Regional Airport and in places like Bucks, Chastang, Chunchula, Semmes, and Seven Hills. We also note the main line of storms is now pushing through Perdue Hill, Calvert, Gainestown, Gosport, Scratch Ankle, and Franklin as of 3:40PM.

Heavy rain is imminent on the campus of the University of South Alabama and the University of Mobile. You’ll want to move inside as these storms approach over the next few moments if you’re on or near those campuses.

The showers and thunderstorms out ahead of the main line of storms appear to be progressively increasing in strength. At this moment, we see bursts of rain on radar near Niceville, Atmore, Poarch, Riverview, Kirkland, Brewton, Cobbtown, and Bratt. I’m closely monitoring these tiny storms for indications of low-level rotation.

Here’s the current radar view as of 3:40PM…
