HIGH RISK OF FLASH FLOODING… Areas in southeast Alabama and the Florida Panhandle have a rare, high risk of flash flooding today as the core of Alberto makes landfall. Heavy rain has already happened in these areas and more is on the way. Much of southwest Alabama and northwest Florida remain in the “significant risk” zone, meaning flash flooding will still be possible and quite potent where it does occur.

FLASH FLOOD WATCH… The entirety of south Alabama and northwest Florida remains under a Flash Flood Watch through Tuesday evening. Light to moderate rain continues to move across our region from east to west as the circulation of Alberto approaches. More detailed Alberto coverage will begin at 6AM unless tornado warnings are required before that for portions of southwest Alabama or northwest Florida. You can review our tornado warning policy here.
