Storms continue near Johnsonville, Georgiana, Tunnel Springs, Sweet Water, Greenville, and McKenzie on this Friday evening. Storms are moving slowly northeast. There may be a few more pop-up storms across the area before sunset. Have the rain jackets handy if you’re headed to a graduation or other event this evening!

Heavy rain and ample cloud-to-ground lightning are happening in central Covington and across much of Conecuh counties. As of 4:15PM, the strongest storm in our region is moving into Andalusia and Sanford near the Andalusia-Opp Regional Airport.
Numerous storms are also happening near Repton, Loree, Lyeffion, Owassa, and Lenox in Conecuh County.
All of these storms will continue to produce heavy rain, potentially some small hail, gusty winds, and lots of lightning as they move northeastward slowly.
