I’m at an event for @MainStreetFam Urgent Care tonight and I’ve had 4 people text me in the last 30 minutes making sure I’m okay. Love when people are intentional about caring! Very nice.

STORMS NEAR POARCH… Most of us across south Alabama and northwest Florida have been dry today, but there have been a few storms around. At the moment, a heavier downpour of rain is happening near Poarch, Robinsonville, and Wind Creek Casino & Hotel.
A few more storms are possible before we start to lose daytime heating in about 2 hours. More showers and storms will pop up on Thursday afternoon across our region.
STORMS POPPING UP… Isolated showers and thunderstorms are happening this evening across south Alabama and northwest Florida. Most spots are dry, but where we’re observing rain on radar, the rain rates are high. This means heavy downpours of rain are happening. At the moment, there are 3 areas of storms happening.
1) Storms are producing heavy rain along the US84 corridor near Coffeeville, Silas, and Millry.
2) A small storm is producing heavy rain near Nokomis, Perdido, Poarch, and Atmore. This storm is slowly drifting east-northeast.
3) The heaviest rain as of now is happening in northern Okaloosa County near Crestview, Baker, and Milligan. These storms are also moving east-northeast slowly.
I wouldn’t be shocked to see a few more storms develop before 7PM when daytime heat content will decrease. I’ll have radar updates as needed over the next few hours.
