WARM, MUGGY DAY; SCATTERED P.M. STORMS… Get ready for another week with remarkably consistent weather days! Today will be similar to the next 7 days in that we have at least a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon with high temperatures that will peak in the low- to mid-90s. Good news in that the tropical Atlantic remains quiet. Let’s talk details…

PULSE P.M. THUNDERSTORMS… Another round of pop-up thunderstorms will occur this afternoon into the evening hours. You know the drill in that these pulse thunderstorms rapidly form and then rapidly collapse, producing heavy rain, lots of cloud-to-ground lightning, and gusty winds. These storms will be scattered in nature and not everyone across the region will be wet. Be ready for scattered P.M. downpours! I’ll have updates throughout the day, as needed, in the RedZone Weather app (redzoneweather.com/app is the link for the free download).

TROPICS QUIET… We continue to diligently monitor the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea, and north Atlantic Ocean for signs of potential tropical development. The Saharan Air Layer continues to be strong across the eastern fringe of the Atlantic near the African continent. This will likely keep tropical activity to a minimum this week.

I’ve got all the forecast details for you in your Monday #rzw forecast video that will be posted within the next hour here in the RZWeather app… Have a great day!
