Light winds from the north will keep south Alabama and northwest Florida rain-free today into tonight as dry air continues to move in. Winds will shift on Friday, giving way to a few showers and storms. Hurricane Lane is set to batter parts of Hawaii this weekend, but the good news for the continential United States is that the Atlantic basin remains quiet.
