RAIN ACROSS MUCH OF ALABAMA… The Interstate 65 corridor and much of the state of Alabama is wet this evening, with numerous showers and thunderstorms streaming north. Several storms also continue across Santa Rosa and Okaloosa counties in northwest Florida. Basically, if you’re driving on I-65 (or US31) from Evergreen northward to Decatur, odds are you’re either in rain or not at all far from rain. While the heaviest band of rain is currently moving north through Birmingham, Leeds, Pell City, and Gadsden, showers extend from there southward to the northwest Florida beaches.
Most of this rain will fade after sunset. I expect another round of showers and thunderstorms to happen on Tuesday across our region. Severe weather is again NOT expected.
