HEAT, HUMIDITY, & POP-UP STORMS… Another hot, humid day is on tap for south Alabama and northwest Florida. High temperatures will again reach the low- to mid-90s. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible throughout the day across the region. It won’t be an “all day washout” for any locale, but there could be multiple showers and storms that affect a given spot. Be ready for scattered downpours of rain throughout the day.
TROPICS TO BE COMPLETELY QUIET AGAIN… I’m thrilled to be able to report that the Atlantic basin (Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea, and the Atlantic Ocean) are set to be without tropical storms for a few days, at least. The remnants of Florence continue to push northward across the Ohio Valley and into the Northeast U.S. Tropical Depression Joyce is about to disappate in the far eastern Atlantic Ocean well away from land. The remnants of Tropical Storm Isaac are weak and have a near 0% chance of redevelopment over the next 5 days. Great news!
TEMPS TO REMAIN ABOVE AVERAGE… We’re a few degrees above our climatological norms for this time of year. Despite the calendar saying the fall season will start in 4 days, the forecast remains the same over the next 7-9 days with high temperatures near the 90 degree mark with morning lows around 70.
I’ve got all the details for you in the Tuesday #rzw forecast video that will be posted shortly here in the RZWeather app and on rzweather.com. Enjoy the day!
