STRONG STORMS IN COVINGTON & OKALOOSA COUNTIES… Lightning output has considerably increased over the last hour in the train of thunderstorms moving through northwest Okaloosa and southern Covington counties. Storm structure has also ramped up quite a bit. Heavy rain is likely to continue over the next 60-90 minutes in places like Wing, Red Oak, Green Bay, Horn Hill, Opp, Florala, Laurel Hill, and across the Blackwater River State Forest.
STORMS NOT SEVERE… These thunderstorms are below severe limits, for now. Heavy rain and lightning will continue, but odds are these storms will remain below severe limits.
