SEVERE STORM IN NORTHWEST ALABAMA… A new Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued valid until 11PM for parts of Limestone, Lawrence, and Lauderdale counties in northwest Alabama. There is a storm producing up to quarter-size hail near Town Creek and Courtland right now. This storm is moving toward Rogersville, Elkmont, and Athens. Torrential rainfall, large hail, and gusty winds are likely in this storm.
RAIN COVERAGE TO INCREASE LOCALLY OVERNIGHT … Scattered showers will continue to build in overnight as a cold front approaches from the west. There could be some thunder involved, but severe weather is not expected at this point.
