CLEARING SKIES TODAY; NICE FEW DAYS THRU SUNDAY; STORMS MONDAY… After a few showers overnight, skies will clear out over the next few hours. The afternoon and evening hours will likely be sunny with high temperatures only in the low to mid 60s today. Temperatures will warm into the weekend with highs expected to be in the upper 70s on both Saturday and Sunday. The weekend will be dry ahead of showers and thunderstorms becoming possible on Monday.

SEVERE STORMS WELL TO OUR WEST SUNDAY; LOW-END RISK LOCALLY SUNDAY… Severe storms will be possible across parts of Louisiana, western Mississippi, southern Arkansas, and east Texas on Sunday into Sunday night. The Storm Prediction Center has included these areas in a Level 2 (out of 5) severe weather risk. The same system will move across Alabama and northwest Florida on Monday, most likely in the morning hours. A low-end severe weather risk may be possible, but model guidance is not in good agreement suggesting a severe weather threat at this point. This may end up being a beneficial rain event with some embedded thunderstorms. I will be monitoring the data throughout the weekend. I will bring you updates in the RedZone Weather app.
