COOL, DREARY MONDAY; RAIN AT TIMES THROUGH THE AFTERNOON HOURS… Temperatures have tumbled after the passage of the cold front this morning. Most locales across south Alabama and northwest Florida are starting the day in the 50s. Temperatures won’t be moving much at all day. High temperatures will range from the mid 50s to low 60s this afternoon. Grab those rain jackets and keep ’em handy today. The severe weather risk is done for our area and any storms today will be elevated in nature, meaning surface-based hazards like tornadoes are NOT expected across south Alabama and northwest Florida. We have a slew of beautiful, nice weather days upcoming.

DRY PATTERN KICKS OFF TOMORROW; COLD NIGHTS… Overnight lows will be in the 40s by Tuesday morning with highs tomorrow only near 70°. That is about 5-10 degrees below where we should be for this time of year. Tuesday night into Wednesday morning will be the coldest night this week with lows in the 40s. Upper 30s are possible across areas north of US84 in parts of Clarke, Monroe, Conecuh, and Butler counties. Frost may be possible just to our north but widespread freezing temperatures will not happen locally. Dry conditions are expected Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

FEW SHOWERS MAY HAPPEN FRIDAY MORNING… Our next chance of rain across the region is questionable at this point and, looking at the latest data, it may not happen. For now, we will keep a 20% chance of a few showers in the forecast for Friday morning. High temperatures later this week will be in the mid 70s.

BEAUTIFUL WEEKEND AHEAD… This will be the nicest weekend we have had in awhile after what seems like weekend after weekend filled with storms. Sunny skies are in the forecast for both Saturday and Sunday with highs expected to be in the 70s.
