A FEW SHOWERS & STORMS POSSIBLE TODAY AND SATURDAY; ANOTHER ROUND OF STORMS NEXT WEEK… Not every community across south Alabama and northwest Florida will have rain before the end of the day but some communities will have a few beneficial showers and perhaps a few thunderstorms at times. The greatest chances of rain today will happen along and WEST of Interstate 65 in parts of west Alabama. This means that places like Thomasville, Monroeville, Jackson, Grove Hill, and Chatom have a slightly higher chance of rain than places further east like Andalusia and Destin. Scattered showers and storms will spread eastward this evening into tonight. High temperatures will be near the 80 degree mark.

ISOLATED SHOWERS & STORMS POSSIBLE SATURDAY… Tomorrow will likely be a mostly dry day with only a few widely scattered showers and thunderstorms. Most of the high-res model guidance shows a broken line of storms pushing through in the evening hours. Widespread severe storms are not expected on Saturday. Afternoon highs will be in the low 80s in most spots across the region.

WARM, DRY DAYS SUNDAY AND MONDAY… Partly cloudy skies and warm temperatures will continue on Sunday and Monday. Afternoon highs will be around the 80 degree mark both days.

COLD FRONT TO MOVE THROUGH MIDWEEK; STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS POSSIBLE… An active pattern is in the works for the middle part of the upcoming week, specifically on Tuesday into Wednesday as a cold front approaches from the northwest. Scattered thunderstorms seem likely and there is a chance we have a few strong to severe storms involved as well. Details are a bit murky as the event is 4-5 days out. Please check back in for updates as we approach midweek as severe storms, perhaps including a tornado risk, will be possible.

MUCH COLDER FOR THANKSGIVING DAY… There was some thought that Thanksgiving Day would feature highs in the 70s but instead, it looks like a sharply colder air mass will be taking hold of our local weather pattern on Thursday/Thanksgiving Day. Afternoon highs will probably be in the upper 50s and near the 60 degree mark. Showers may be possible in the early morning hours, but we will likely be trending drier throughout the day.

TROPICS: GULF & CARIBBEAN QUIET, FOR NOW… The Gulf, Caribbean Sea, and Atlantic Ocean remain quiet with no new named tropical storms expected to form over the next 5-7 days. The official end of the 2025 Atlantic Hurricane Season will happen on Sunday, November 30.
