SPOTTY SHOWERS TODAY; SCATTERED STORMS POSSIBLE FRIDAY… Scattered showers will be possible at times throughout the day on this Thursday. It will not rain all day in any given community, however, we are expecting showers at times. Rain chances will increase overnight into Friday. There is a chance we may have a complex of showers and storms in progress across the region Friday morning, however, that isn’t a guarantee. Some of the high-res models show scattered to numerous storms around tomorrow morning while other models are drier overall. Regardless of the morning storms, scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop tomorrow evening. Storms will remain scattered in nature, meaning there is a real chance some communities get no rain at all. Thankfully, widespread severe storms are not expected over the next 24-36 hours. The weekend will be drier with warm temperatures. Dry weather will persist into early next week as well.
A FEW SHOWERS TODAY… I am not expecting an all day washout today, rather a few widely scattered showers and perhaps a few thunderstorms in the mix as well. Temperatures will peak in the mid to upper 70s this afternoon. A few widely scattered thunderstorms may also be possible today. I will have radar updates posted throughout the day in the RedZone Weather app.
SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS POSSIBLE FRIDAY… Spotty thunderstorms may develop tomorrow ahead of a frontal boundary moving into our region from the north. No significant, widespread severe storms are expected, however, cloud-to-ground lightning and gusty winds will be possible in the strongest of the storms. The overall tornado risk remains very, very low.
PHENOMENAL WEATHER FOR THE WEEKEND… This weekend will feature absolutely beautiful weather across south Alabama and northwest Florida. Afternoon high temperatures will be in the upper 70s and near the 80 degree mark on both Saturday and Sunday. Morning lows will be in the 50s.
DRY WEATHER CONTINUES INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK… Quiet weather will continue from this weekend into early next week with dry conditions in store Monday and Tuesday. High temperatures will be in the upper 70s. Some communities easily could flirt with the 80 degree mark.
