WARM TEMPS & PLEASANT WEATHER THIS WEEK; A.M. DENSE FOG… Nice, warm weather is expected today and over the next few days. High temperatures will be in the mid 80s inland today with upper 70s likely closer to the Alabama and northwest Florida beaches. There are a few areas of patchy dense fog around this morning. Patchy dense fog will be possible tomorrow morning as well. No widespread severe storms are expected over the next few days with generally quiet weather expected through Thursday.
HIGHS IN 80s OVER NEXT FEW DAYS… Temperatures will continue to run about ten degrees above our climatological norms for this time of year with most spots peaking in the low to mid 80s today. Overnight lows will be in the upper 50s over the next few days. Our next significant temperature swing will likely happen during the upcoming weekend as a cold front approaches from the north. This front will knock down temperatures into the 70s for highs as we get into Sunday and Monday of the upcoming week. Overnight lows will likely be in the 40s.
COLD FRONT APPROACHES THIS WEEKEND… For now, I have not included rain chances in the forecast on Saturday, however, we may have to adjust rain chances slightly higher depending on the setup. It certainly looks like the drier air may “win out” and prevent much, if not all, of the rain from happening this weekend. Cooler air moves into the region in the latter part of the upcoming weekend.
