WARMER TEMPS TODAY & FRIDAY; SLIGHTLY COOLER FOR THE WEEKEND… High temperatures will be in the mid 80s today and Friday with slightly cooler temperatures expected for the weekend after the passage of a cold front. Unfortunately, this frontal boundary probably won’t bring any meaningful rain to the local area. Fog and clouds around this morning will give way to mostly sunny skies this afternoon into this evening. High temperatures will be in the mid 80s today in communities north of Interstate 10. Places closer to the Alabama and northwest Florida beaches will be in the upper 70s for afternoon highs.
SLIGHTLY WARMER TOMORROW… High temperatures will surge into the mid 80s with some communities briefly hitting the upper 80s by 4PM tomorrow. Partly cloudy skies are expected on Friday. Rain showers will be possible in areas to our north across parts of Tennessee, north Mississippi, and north Alabama.
A BIT COOLER FOR THE WEEKEND… Mostly sunny skies are likely on both Saturday and Sunday with afternoon highs likely to be in the mid 70s each day. Overnight lows will be in the low 50s with upper 40s possible north of U.S. Highway 84.
MORE SUNSHINE EARLY NEXT WEEK… Temperatures rebound into the low 80s in the afternoon hours of Monday and Tuesday of the upcoming week. Mostly sunny skies are expected on Monday and Tuesday.
SIGNS OF RAIN TOWARD THE END OF THE WEEK?… Big question marks exist regarding the setup toward the end of the upcoming week. There are early indications we may have a few rain showers around but it is impossible to know specific details this far out. Hopefully we will get some beneficial rainfall around that time as drought conditions continue to worsen across the region.
