A few showers may be possible this weekend but I have lowered rain chances considerably as it looks like the frontal boundary that was expected to come through our area may not make it this far southeast.
High temperatures will be in the 80s over the next few days. https://t.co/q4RVv7Oj16

WARM, MOSTLY DRY DAYS TO CONTINUE; WEEKEND RAIN CHANCES LESS CERTAIN… Patchy areas of dense fog will burn off by 9-10AM on this Tuesday. WARM, MOSTLY DRY DAYS TO CONTINUE; WEEKEND RAIN CHANCES LESS CERTAIN… Patchy areas of dense fog will burn off by 9-10AM on this Tuesday. Skies will be partly cloudy throughout the day today with high temperatures in the upper 70s and low 80s. While a couple of sprinkles and/or very brief showers may happen close to the Alabama-Mississippi state line in parts of west Alabama, rain chances are so low that I cannot up the percentages to a 10% chance. “Near 0%” is what I went with in the graphics today for rain chances and I think that will hold up quite well. A few showers may become possible this weekend, but that is becoming more questionable.
A FEW SHOWERS POSSIBLE THIS WEEKEND; SEVERE STORMS WELL TO OUR WEST… Multiple days with severe weather risks will happen across the Great Plains in the days ahead. Yesterday in the forecast video, I mentioned the potential of a frontal boundary coming through south Alabama and northwest Florida this weekend. That is a bit more uncertain now. This enhanced level of uncertainty means the rain chances are also a bit more uncertain. For now, we’ll call it a 20% chance of rain on Saturday and Sunday. IF showers and storms do develop, the coverage will be quite scattered in nature.
NO SIGNS OF SEVERE WEATHER LOCALLY… March and April are traditionally active weather months in terms of severe weather and tornadoes across the Deep South. I see no signs of any tornadoes or severe storms across south Alabama or northwest Florida over the next 7-10 days. Our weather pattern will be warm in the daytime and cool at night for the next week or so. No signs of tornadoes anytime soon, thankfully. This lull won’t last forever, but we will certainly be grateful while it continues!
MILD/WARM DAYS, COOL NIGHTS AHEAD; RAIN POSSIBLE THIS WEEKEND… Most communities will remain completely dry on this Tuesday, however a few widely scattered sprinkles and showers may be possible this afternoon into this evening, particularly across west Alabama. Temperatures will rise into the mid 70s across south Alabama and northwest Florida today. Warm temperatures are in the forecast over the next few days. Highs will be in the low 70s on Thursday and Friday due to an unseasonably warm air mass in place across much of the Deep South. Rain and thunderstorms will be possible later this week, specifically on Friday into Saturday, due to an approaching cold front.

Temperatures will be about 10-15 degrees above our climatological norms for early March today with most spots topping out near the 80 degree mark.
Partly cloudy skies are expected throughout the day. I cannot completely rule out a very brief shower or some sprinkles, mainly https://t.co/aytQYo5J9R
