PARTLY CLOUDY MONDAY; SPOTTY SHOWERS POSSIBLE… Isolated showers will be possible throughout the day on this Monday across south Alabama and northwest Florida. Not every community will have rain before the end of the day. Most locales probably won’t. Just know you may encounter some rain at times before the end of the day in spots across the region. High temperatures will be in the upper 80s today. Some communities may briefly hit the 90 degree mark this afternoon. Partly cloudy skies are expected throughout the day, meaning if you’re not under one of the spotty showers, there will be some sunshine in the mix as well.

RAIN CHANCES RISE LATER THIS WEEK INTO WEEKEND… The overall coverage of spotty showers and thunderstorms will increase later this week into the weekend. Tomorrow and Wednesday will generally be drier compared to Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Widespread severe storms seem unlikely, however, thunderstorms (below severe limits) will be possible as we get toward the weekend. High temperatures will be in the upper 80s and near 90° over the next several days with morning lows in the 60s.

TROPICS QUIET; HURRICANE SEASON STARTS 2 WEEKS FROM TODAY… The 2026 Atlantic Hurricane Season officially kicks off on Monday, June 1. Sometimes we see pre-season storms develop in the latter half of the month of May in the Gulf and Caribbean. For now, I see no signs of any formal tropical development over the next 7 days in the Gulf, Caribbean Sea, or the Atlantic Ocean.
