Severe thunderstorms are moving south across parts of north-central Alabama this afternoon.

These storms will move into Birmingham and Tuscaloosa in the next 60-90 minutes.

Spotty showers have developed this afternoon near Brooklyn, Paul, Melrose, Loango, Baker, and Pleasant Home.

Showers and storms will likely increase in coverage throughout the day.
