SUNSHINE RETURNS TODAY BUT COLD TEMPS PERSIST… High temperatures will only be in the mid to upper 50s today but unlike the last several days, we should have quite a bit of sunshine this afternoon into this evening. It will remain cold all day, so keep the jackets handy. We’re kicking off what will be several days of mostly sunny or partly cloudy days. Overnight lows tonight will again dip into the low 30s in many spots and I suspect some communities north of U.S. Highway 84 will dip below the freezing mark, similar to last night. Highs will be in the 60s later this week.

SLIGHTLY WARMER TOMORROW AND THURSDAY… For the first time in awhile, we will have temperatures in the 60s tomorrow afternoon. We’ll be around the 60 degree mark by 11AM with afternoon highs expected to be in the mid to upper 60s. It will be a phenomenal afternoon to get outside and get some sunshine after the miserable, cold conditions of the last few days. Thursday will also be sunny with highs in the low 60s.

DRY PATTERN INTO THE WEEKEND… Model guidance has greatly backed off the idea of rain happening later this week into the weekend. A rogue shower or two may be possible on Friday and Saturday but I expect the overall coverage of showers to be few and far between. Highs on Friday and Saturday will likely be in the 60s. Some spots may even hit the low 70s, particularly across northwest Florida.
