RAIN MOVING SOUTHEAST IN N.W. FLORIDA… Brief downpours of heavy rain are moving into areas near Gulf Breeze, Tiger Point, Oriole Beach, Midway (FL), Navarre, Duke Field, Fort Walton Beach, Niceville, Mary Esther, Woodlawn Beach, and Pensacola Beach this afternoon.
While I can’t rule out a clap of thunder or two, the overall severe weather risk appears to now be over. These are simply heavy showers moving southeast at this point.
I’ve given the “all clear” to all of the south Alabama counties we cover. I’ll be able to give a complete all clear to Escambia (FL), Santa Rosa, and Okaloosa probably in about an hour – but again, the risk has most likely already ended. Just need to get this last band of storms to the east of Destin to make it official.
