MOSTLY CLOUDY GOOD FRIDAY; SCATTERED STORMS AROUND ON EASTER SUNDAY… Other than a few passing showers this evening, I am expecting most of south Alabama and northwest Florida to remain dry on this Good Friday. A few sprinkles and showers may be possible, specifically in parts of south-central and southeast Alabama this evening. Most communities across southwest Alabama and northwest Florida will remain completely dry. High temperatures will be in the low to mid 80s today. Tomorrow will be quite similar to today with low-end rain chances ahead of rain and storms becoming increasingly likely at times on Easter Sunday as a cold front comes through from the northwest. For now, the overall chance of any severe weather on Easter Sunday remains low.
MAINLY DRY ON SATURDAY; A FEW, HIGHLY ISOLATED SHOWERS POSSIBLE… Tomorrow will be another warm day with high temperatures projected to be in the low to mid 80s. Isolated showers will be possible in the afternoon and evening hours but the vast majority of communities across south Alabama and northwest Florida will remain completely dry on Saturday.
SCATTERED STORMS LIKELY AT TIMES EASTER SUNDAY… Scattered showers and thunderstorms will move into the region from the northwest starting early Easter Sunday morning. At sunrise, most communities across the local area may continue to be dry. Rain chances rise throughout the morning and into the early afternoon hours across the region. The parameters for any severe weather issues remain low, for now. This is something I will be monitoring today and tomorrow ahead of the storms arriving on Sunday. I will have updates posted, as needed, in the RedZone Weather app.
COOLER TEMPERATURES NEXT WEEK… We will trend drier and cooler, overall, for next week. High temperatures on Monday will be in the 60s with mostly cloudy skies expected. More in the way of sunshine is expected on Tuesday and Wednesday with high temperatures projected to be in the 70s.
