RAIN CONTINUES OVERNIGHT INTO SATURDAY; SEVERE STORMS UNLIKELY… Good news! Intermittent rain is set to continue overnight into Saturday morning. Severe storms are increasingly UNLIKELY to happen as all of the warm, unstable air remains shunted offshore in the northern Gulf. It doesn’t appear the unstable air is going to make it into our area, thus severe storms are not expected over land areas overnight. This really is a best case scenario as our area will have rain and thunderstorms overnight and probably not much else.
I will monitor radar trends over the next few hours, but we will plan to have a “normal night” instead of severe weather ops. Great news!
Rain is expected to clear to our east by 2PM tomorrow.
