INCREASING CLOUDINESS TODAY; SCATTERED STORMS TUESDAY; COLDER TEMPS COMING… Cloud coverage will gradually increase throughout the day on this Monday ahead of a few showers becoming possible overnight. Multiple rounds of scattered thunderstorms will be possible on Tuesday into Tuesday night. The overall risk of severe storms remains LOW, but perhaps not entirely zero. The Storm Prediction Center has included the entire local area in their low-end, Level 1 (out of 5) severe weather risk zone. We trend much drier (and cooler!) for Thanksgiving Day on Thursday ahead of more rain being possible on Sunday into Monday of the upcoming week.

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS TOMORROW INTO TOMORROW NIGHT… Keep the rain gear handy tomorrow as we have the potential for multiple rounds of scattered showers and thunderstorms across the region on Tuesday. It will NOT rain all day and unfortunately, there is a chance some communities completely miss the rain. The higher rain amounts (0.5 to 1 inch of rain in total) will happen across inland areas of southwest Alabama. Rain amounts will likely be lower closer to the Alabama and northwest Florida beaches. For now, the overall risk of strong to severe storms remains LOW locally. The Storm Prediction Center has included ALL of the local area a in their Level 1 (out of 5) low-end severe weather risk zone valid for Tuesday into Tuesday night. A tornado or two along with gusty winds are the hazards of concern. MOST communities will simply have some rain at times.

CLEARING SKIES WEDNESDAY… The cold front responsible for all of the showers and storms over the next two days clears through our region on Wednesday. Afternoon highs on Wednesday will be in the upper 60s and low 70s. Skies will gradually clear throughout the day on Wednesday.

SUNNY & COOLER FOR THANKSGIVING DAY… Mostly sunny skies are expected on Thanksgiving Day Thursday across south Alabama and northwest Florida. Afternoon highs are expected to be in the upper 50s and low 60s across the region. It should be a gorgeous day, perfect for any outdoor activities.

PARTLY CLOUDY FOR BLACK FRIDAY… Temperatures will be in the upper 30s and low 40s starting the day on Black Friday. Upper 50s and low 60s are likely for daytime high temperatures by 2-3PM on Friday. Mostly sunny skies in the morning will give way to partly cloudy skies in the afternoon and evening hours.

EARLY LOOK AT THE IRON BOWL FORECAST… Temperatures on Saturday across the southern part of Alabama and northwest Florida will rise into the low 60s. Rain chances in Auburn, AL for the Iron Bowl are low (10% chance as of now) with temperatures expected to be around the 50 degree mark for the 6:30PM CST kickoff as the Alabama Crimson Tide comes to town to take on the Auburn Tigers. The game will probably end with temperatures in the upper 40s.

UNSETTLED PATTERN SUNDAY INTO MONDAY… Scattered showers and perhaps a few thunderstorms will become possible across parts of the Deep South, including locally, on Sunday into Monday. It is a bit too early for specific details but be aware we probably will have rain around at times.

TROPICS QUIET, END OF HURRICANE SEASON APPROACHING… The Gulf, Caribbean Sea, and Atlantic Ocean remain quiet with no new named tropical storms expected to form over the next 5-7 days. The official end of the 2025 Atlantic Hurricane Season will happen on Sunday, November 30.
