PARTLY CLOUDY MONDAY; INCREASING WARM TEMPERATURES LATER THIS WEEK… Dry weather will persist over the next few days including on this Monday across south Alabama and northwest Florida. Patchy areas of dense fog this morning will burn off by 10AM. High temperatures will be in the mid 80s inland today with temperatures in the upper 70s near the beaches and bays. Skies will range from mostly sunny to partly cloudy each day through Friday. Our next rain chance is set to happen on Sunday as a frontal boundary approaches from the northwest.

HIGH TEMPERATURES APPROACHING 90 DEGREES BY FRIDAY… Dry, warm weather is expected tomorrow, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Temperatures will be in the upper 80s by Thursday with highs flirting with the 90 degree mark by the time we get to Friday. Some locales may briefly hit 90 degrees for the first time this year on Friday. This is because of a ridge of high pressure situated to our east keeping our area dry and increasingly warm this week.

RAIN AND STORMS POSSIBLE SUNDAY… Maybe, just MAYBE, much of the local area will have scattered showers and a few thunderstorms around on Sunday. Drought conditions across the region continue to get worse, meaning our area desperately needs the rain. A cold front will approach the region from the northwest, meaning scattered showers and storms will be possible in areas to our west on Saturday into Saturday night. Rain and storms will approach our region on Sunday, probably in the form of scattered showers and storms. It is a bit too early to determine if any type of severe weather risk will materialize.
