RAIN CONTINUES TO MOVE EAST… Heavy pockets of rain continue in parts of Conecuh, Covington, Escambia (AL), Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, and Walton counties as the large mass of rain moving across our region continues to move eastward.
This mass of rain should clear to the east of Covington and Okaloosa counties in 3-4 hours. Scattered showers are happening in parts of west Alabama behind the main complex of storms. These showers will continue to move east and clear out of our region later tonight.
The overall risk of severe storms remains very, very low. It would be surprising at this point if our area had a tornado warning before the end of the day. Gusty winds are the main concern near the coast over the next few hours along with a risk of nuisance-type flooding where storms train over the same areas.
Wet afternoon continues!
