DAMAGING WINDS LIKELY OVERNIGHT; A FEW TORNADOES POSSIBLE… Strong to severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind gusts and a few tornadoes will be possible across all of south Alabama and northwest Florida through 7AM tomorrow morning. We encourage everyone to have more than one way to hear urgent weather warnings throughout the night. You need a device, like a loud weather radio, that will wake you up in case your location goes under a tornado warning.
We will “go live” if/when tornado warnings are required for our local area.

A new watch will likely be needed for counties further east.

A Tornado Watch will likely soon be issued for parts of eastern Louisiana, southern Mississippi, and west Alabama.
The environment ahead of the main batch of storms (slated to move through overnight) is becoming supportive of a few supercells.

Parameters support a few tornadoes overnight but I suspect the more widespread, sufficient hazard will be damaging wind gusts… https://t.co/tVPnyIMZ80
