COLD & WINDY MONDAY; TEMPS BELOW FREEZING TONIGHT… Wind gusts out of the northwest of 15-25 mph will be possible today with temperatures that struggle to get to the low 50s in many communities. Today will be the coldest, winter like day we have had so far this season. Thankfully, mostly sunny skies are expected all day. Freeze precautions are needed tonight as nearly all of us across south Alabama and northwest Florida will be at or below the freezing mark by 6AM Tuesday. A Freeze Warning is in effect. Tomorrow will be a chilly day as well but not quite as cold as today. Temperatures moderate later this week and we’ll have highs in the upper 70s for afternoon highs by Thursday and Friday. Our next chance of rain across south Alabama and northwest Florida happens on Sunday.

FREEZE WARNING TONIGHT; TEMPS IN THE MID 20s INLAND… Temperatures will be in the upper 30s by 7PM tonight, quickly falling below freezing in many communities by 10-11PM. Overnight lows will be in the mid 20s further inland (north of US84) by 6AM Tuesday with many communities in the upper 20s further south. Now is the time to ensure outdoor pets are brought inside along with any sensitive plants. Outdoor pipes should also be well insulated. A Freeze Warning is in effect for the entire local area.

NOT AS WINDY TOMORROW BUT STILL QUITE CHILLY… High temperatures on Tuesday will again be in the 50s but the difference in tomorrow versus today is that wind gusts won’t be nearly as pronounced tomorrow. Full sunshine is expected all day on Tuesday.

WARMER TEMPERATURES LATER THIS WEEK… The cold blast currently in progress across the region won’t last long. High temperatures will be in the low 70s on Wednesday with upper 70s likely for highs on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Overnight lows will be in the 40s later this week.

TROPICS: GULF & CARIBBEAN QUIET… The Gulf, Caribbean Sea, and Atlantic Ocean remain quiet with no new named tropical storms expected to form over the next 5-7 days. The official end of the 2025 Atlantic Hurricane Season will happen on Sunday, November 30.
