The Storm Prediction Center has added a low-end, Level 1 (out of 5) severe weather risk zone valid for Sunday for all of south Alabama and northwest Florida.

There are a lot of variables beyond this one, but you can bet when the Arctic Oscillation Index is this far negative in the middle of winter, odds are pretty good of significant cold air intrusions.
