MOSTLY SUNNY TUESDAY; FIRST 90° DAY POSSIBLE FRIDAY… Mostly sunny and nice weather will continue on this Tuesday. Patchy areas of fog will burn off by 9-10AM. Dry conditions will persist across all of the Deep South today. Severe thunderstorms will be possible in parts of the Great Plains and Midwest U.S. today, but no rain is expected anywhere close by. High temperatures will be in the mid 80s inland with upper 70s expected near the immediate beaches and bays. Afternoon highs will make a run at the 90 degree mark on Friday. Looking ahead, we have dry weather expected to persist through Saturday. Scattered showers will be possible on Sunday, but unfortunately, rain chances have decreased somewhat.

COLD FRONT TO APPROACH ON SUNDAY; A FEW SHOWERS POSSIBLE… The bigger rain associated with an advancing cold front will almost certainly happen to our west this weekend in parts of Mississippi and Louisiana. Scattered showers and perhaps a few thunderstorms will be possible on Sunday locally, but rain chances are a bit lower than previously suggested. We’ll call it a 20% chance of showers on Sunday for now. Rain amounts will probably be less than 0.5″ in total across the region. Not good and not what I was hoping for in light of the severe drought ongoing across the region. Hopefully rain chances will trend back upward in the days ahead.
