MORE RAIN FOR WEST ALABAMA; STORMS MOVING IN… A small complex of thunderstorms across southeast Mississippi will bring rain and possibly gusty winds to west Alabama over the next few hours. This is a small mesoscale convective system (MCS) that will probably lose organization as it moves into southwest Alabama over the next few hours. Regardless, the leading edge of the storms could produce gusty winds. The overall tornado risk is quite LOW, but not entirely zero. It seems like the overall organization of the complex of storms will continue to slowly decrease over the next few hours.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR WASHINGTON COUNTY, AL… A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect through 9:15AM for parts of Wayne (MS), Greene (MS), and western portions of Washington County, Alabama due to the threat of gusty winds capable of knocking down a few trees.

RAIN & STORMS POSSIBLE, PARTICULARLY IN WEST ALABAMA… While this feature likely won’t make it to south-central Alabama or northwest Florida, rain will be possible soon in parts of Choctaw, Washington, Clarke, Mobile, and Baldwin counties as this line of storms continues moving southeast through Noon or so. If we have more in the way of warnings, I will let you know in the RedZone Weather app.

ISOLATED STORMS POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON… A few isolated, pop-up thunderstorms will be possible as we get into the afternoon and early evening hours across the region. These storms will be highly isolated in nature, meaning there is a real chance most communities remain dry.
