PLEASANT WEATHER CONTINUES TODAY AND TUESDAY; SHOWERS POSSIBLE THIS WEEKEND… Dry, nice weather to start the week is expected across south Alabama and northwest Florida on this Monday. High temperatures will be in the upper 70s to near 80° this afternoon. We’ll have more dry weather tomorrow and Wednesday. Rain chances remain quite low through much of the week before a few showers become possible this weekend.

VERY NICE WEATHER THROUGH WEDNESDAY; WARM AFTERNOONS… High pressure will keep our weather pattern mostly dry through Wednesday. A dry, northeasterly wind flow will limit moisture across the region, keeping rain chances near zero. Afternoon highs tomorrow will be in the upper 70s to low 80s, with temps near 80° again Wednesday. Nights will be considerably cooler than the afternoons, with lows tonight ranging from the 40s to low 60s across the region.

ISOLATED SHOWERS POSSIBLE LATER THIS WEEK AND INTO WEEKEND… A few showers may become possible late this week, although most communities will remain dry Thursday and Friday. High pressure will gradually weaken as we get into the weekend, allowing more moisture to return as winds turn southeasterly. Disturbances moving through the upper atmosphere will also help bring a small chance of rain. Rain chances are only around 10-20% at most on Saturday, increasing slightly Sunday. This is not shaping up to be a widespread soaking, and many communities may get through the weekend without much rain at all.

EARLY LOOK AT TRICK-OR-TREAT/HALLOWEEN FORECAST FOR SATURDAY… For now, the forecast looks mostly favorable for Halloween plans on Saturday. An isolated shower will be possible during the day or Saturday night, but rain chances remain low. Afternoon highs will range from the mid 70s to mid 80s. It is too early to nail down temperatures or shower timing for the specific trick-or-treat hours, so check back as we get closer to the weekend. At this point, I don’t see a reason to change outdoor plans based on the rain forecast.

BEACHES: RIP CURRENTS POSSIBLE… One important exception to the nice weather we will have across the region over the next day or so: A High Risk of rip currents continues today and tomorrow at the Alabama and northwest Florida beaches. Staying out of the Gulf is the best option with dangerous rip currents expected.

TROPICS: ENTIRE ATLANTIC BASIN (GULF & CARIBBEAN) QUIET… No tropical development is expected in the Gulf or Caribbean Sea over the next 7 days. The National Hurricane Center is not highlighting any disturbances in the Gulf, Caribbean, or Atlantic Ocean. Hurricane season continues through November 30, but the current tropical outlook remains quiet for at least the next 7 days.
